Apple Mail signature generator + install guide

Apple Mail renders real HTML signatures beautifully — the only trick is getting the paste to stick. Generate yours free in the browser, then follow the 5 steps below.

How to add your signature in Apple Mail on Mac (5 steps)

1. Copy your signature. Build it in the generator and press Copy signature.
2. Open Mail's settings. In Mail, go to Mail → Settings (older macOS: Mail → Preferences), or just press Cmd+,
3. Pick your account. Select the Signatures tab, click the email account in the middle column, then click + below it to create a new signature and name it.
4. Paste (the trick). Click inside the right-hand editor box and press Cmd+V. If it pastes as plain text, click inside the box and paste a second time — the formatted version sticks. Make sure Always match my default font is unchecked.
5. Set it as default. Drag the new signature onto your account in the middle column (top position = default), or pick it in the Choose Signature pop-up. Close the window — no save button needed.

Tips for Apple Mail

• Paste twice if needed. The first paste occasionally lands as plain text; the second keeps full HTML. This is the single most common issue — and it's harmless.
• Leave the font checkbox off. Always match my default font would flatten your typography choices.
• iPhone / iPad are separate. iOS Mail only accepts a simple per-account signature line (Settings → Mail → Signature). Signatures set on Mac don't sync down, so add a plain-text version there.
• Dark mode friendly. Toggle the Dark preview in the generator — our templates avoid pure black/white so they stay readable when Mail goes dark.
